Winter Cup Victory for Seamus

Seamus Patton claimed the last major event of the in Silverwood Golf Club’s summer calendar with a strong effort of 38 points of a 10 handicap. Seamus played one better than his handicap for both nines with 19 points apiece. Highlights included a birdie on the 9th hole and 5 pars in his last 7 holes.

In second spot also with 38 points off a 10 handicap was Eugene Mc Keever. His gross 80 (+8) included a birdie at the 4th and 8 pars.

Coming third was John Marley (6) with 37 points with a fine gross 77.

Gross prize was won by Kevin Munster with 32 gross points.

In fourth spot was 12 handicapper Shane Mullholand with 37 points. Fifth place went to Daryl Patton (13) with 36 points.

Low section was won by Colm Doyle (36 points); Mid Section: Bernard Mc Keever (35points) and high section James Nicholl (34 points).

There were only three 2’s recorded. Next week will be the Hamper competition before the start of the Winter League Series.
