Gary Aces Par 4 in Club DoublesCongratulations to Gary Mc Nally who on thursday night (24th June) claimed an Ace at the Par 4, 8th hole. His partner was Martin Corey and they were playing Peter Mullholand and Jim Doran. Aferwards Gary commented, ' I just do holes in 1 on Par 4s, 1 down in the match after 7 holes I decided right lets go and try and win this hole. I drove it into the hole for my first ever Ace!' they went on to win the match on the 19th hole

Michael Molloy Breaks Course RecordOn Saturday 12th June 2010 Mr. Molloy surpassed the previous course record (68) held by Mr. Martin Mc Avoy. Playing excellent golf of late Michael undoubtedly had this score coming. Having shot 71 gross four days previous in the Wednesday sweep his confidence was obviously high. Teeing off late on Saturday he opened his account with a birdie 4 at the first hole. A string of consistent pars from the second to the fifth hole was brought to a end by his only bogey of the day on the long par 3 sixth hole. With three pars to finish the front nine, Mickey was level par, out in 35 strokes. Onto the back nine and he started well with a par at the tenth hole followed by a birdie at 11 and another par at 12. Approaching the tougher group of finishing holes proved no obstacle to Michael as he birdied thirteen, fourteen, sixteen, and seventeen. Incredible one might say. With pars on the remaining holes he tallied up a five under gross back nine, home in 32 strokes. We are lead to believe that his tee shot on the eighteenth landed directly under the fairy thorn tree in the centre of the fairway and this didn't deter him as he still made par. Congratulations Michael. Many have come to close to this 5 under score (some in recent weeks) so all that remains to say is 67 is the number to beat. For now anyway...
