  • Match & Handicap secretary will be in touch with your new Handicap Index.
  • Please see www.whs.com or www.golfireland.ie/handicap-index Both these websites will clearly run through all the aspects of how the new World Handicap System works.
  • Members will be eligible to play in Saturday Competitions once they have attained a handicap index.
  • Once you have a handicap index you will be added to the clubs HowDidiDo System which keeps track of handicaps, scores, statistics, and Saturday Competition bookings.
  • You must have a tee time with other members on a Saturday to be able to play in a competition. You cannot play on your own.
  • Silverwood Golf Club have a block booking every Saturday between 7.30am – 2pm.
  • Booking for these spaces can be done via the HowDidiDo website or App
  • You are more than welcome to play along with new members or slot in with current members where spaces are available. Its worth checking a few times per week to see if a desired spot has become available.
  • Silverwood Golf Club host 4/6 weekly “Time Sheet Draws” where 1 member of a group can attend a meeting via Zoom where we randomly select members to pick their slot for a 4/6-week period. We then upload this draw to the HowDidiDo website and app and allows members to make changes themselves if needed. We will send an email out roughly a week in advance of a time sheet draw asking members interested in attaining a tee time to register their interest.
  • If any member is unable to play on a Saturday but does not remove their name from the time sheet you will be given a 2-week competition suspension. This is to ensure fairness in giving members the opportunity to get a tee time as most Saturdays if can be quite busy with lots of members wanting a time.
  • If you are unable to play on a coming Saturday, please remove your name at the earliest opportunity.
  • Before you play in any competition e.g. Saturday, Sunday or Weekly Sweep you must register before you play.
  • This can be done by “signing in” on the club computer downstairs or by the HowDidiDo app.
  • If you sign in by the computer a sticker will be printed with your Handicap Index, Course Handicap and Playing Handicap.
  • If you sign in via HowDidiDo app your Handicap Index, Course Handicap and Playing Handicap will be shown on screen. These must then be recorded on your scorecard in the relevant squares at the top of the card.
  • The club sends out weekly emails with general course and competition information. On the bottom of these emails is a link to a website where you choose the competition you are entering, and pay with card payment.
  • You must pay your competition entry before you play
  • You must get a conformation email confirming your “line number” which proves the payment has gone through. Please record this line number on your score card.
  • There is also a QR code beside the club computer that if you scan with your smartphone will take you direct to the payment website.
  • Please note if paying for another member you must enter their name in the “notes” section. All the details are explained on this webpage.
  • Please always return your scorecard into the “scorecard” mailbox beside the club computer.
  • Please either enter your score on the club computer or on the HowDidiDo app.
  • Please only return your scorecard in the black mailbox at the Ski Centre gates if you have finished your round and the Ski Centre is closed.
  • Please note failure to return a scorecard can result in a suspension of your handicap index.
  • Please send an email in to silverwoodgolfclub@gmail.com and let us know and we will get you added.
